Maclaren Techno XT Buggy by Maclaren reviewed by MumKnowsBest
What is it...
A pushchair which is convinient to carry, only weighs 6.6kg/14.5lbs and can be folded down with one hand. It has fully reclining seat, with 4 handy positions and a Washable, easily removable seat cover with 5 point adjustable harness. There are front swivel wheels and front and rear suspension, it is suitable from birth and has a hood to protect from UV rays.
Why MumKnowsBest Loves it...
Having heard so much about Maclaren pushchairs from other Mums I was keen to try this pushchair out. I used it with various aged children from a baby up to a three year old.
The pushchair instructions were very easy to understand, and there was no complicated putting together needed, which always helps! With two easy to use levers the seat can lie flat for a baby with several reclining positions. You can also alter the seat to extend or lie down depending on the baby's age. With a padded head rest and padded harness straps, it is a comfortable seat. I did struggle a bit with the harness on the first attempt to use it, but I soon got the hang of it.
The hood has a see through section and an extra UV visor at the front, it also has two pockets at the back, one of which I was able to keep the rain cover in. You can also unzip the hood to extend it for further sun protection, something I didn't notice at first but came to appreciate the few times the sun actually came out!
It is a very easy to manoeuvre pushchair, even with one hand while holding a toddlers hand with the other. It even has adjustable height handles. The only down side was when I had to push through gravel, as the wheels are small, and the shopping basket is not very strong or accessible when the seat is flat. All the covers are washable and it is really easy to put up and down and has a carrying handle which is useful to use, although the pushchair is not heavy anyway.
Overall, this is a fabulous pushchair which I would definitely recommend for babies or toddlers. I now know why there are so many Maclaren pushchairs around.
