Set a World Record and Pitch like a Royal with The Camping and Caravanning Club! - Help us set a world record on Monday, June 4!

The Club is endeavouring to set a Jubilee-themed World Record for the ‘most people wearing paper crowns across multiple locations’ on Monday, June 4 with Guinness World Records zones being set up on each of the Club’s 110 award-winning campsites and 20 Camping in the Forest sites.
Unique paper crowns will be provided but the Club is encouraging campers to get into the Jubilee spirit and dress in full regal attire to mark the occasion!
Celebrity botanist and Club President David Bellamy will also be taking part at the hub location on the day, Sandringham Club Site, aptly located within the Sandringham Royal Estate. A Guinness World Records official adjudicator will be present to oversee the attempt and hopefully announce the record!
Entertainment and royal refreshments will be provided at Sandringham with campers given the opportunity to decorate a number of Easy Camp retro white Tipi tents (prizes awarded for the best designs).
Robert Louden, the Club’s Director General, added: “What better way to mark this landmark occasion than by pitching up with family and friends to celebrate.
“We’d like to encourage all of our campers to take part in our Guinness World Records attempt on our Club and Camping in the Forest Sites! It’s a great event to bring people together and enjoy the great outdoors, particularly during National Camping and Caravanning Week and The Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend.”
David Bellamy added: “There’s no better feeling than waking up to hear birds singing, feeling the grass underneath your feet and smelling bacon sandwiches – carry on camping everyone and help us set a Guinness World Record!
To mark NCCW, the Guinness World Records Attempt and The Diamond Jubilee Central Weekend, the Club is also encouraging campers to get involved in The Big Jubilee Lunch on June 3.
The Big Jubilee Lunch is a simple idea from the Eden Project, and the Club is calling on people to get involved by getting together with fellow campers on site for a few hours of community, friendship, fun and of course some lunch!
