Starting on 8th June, Hula Hoops is launching its very first ‛Golden Hoop Film Awards', encouraging everyone to get creative and make their very own finger puppet film. This exciting new campaign gives Hula Hoop fans a fantastic chance to win an exclusive ‛Golden Hoop' award and one of five all expenses paid trips to Hollywood, USA, for a family of four.

It's really easy, just crack open a bag of Hula Hoops to get your creative juices flowing, put them on your fingers, grab your mobile or digital camera and get filming. Once done, upload your film online at www.hulahoops.com and wait for the votes to start coming in.

A bit of fun for everyone, you don't need to be the next Spielberg to enter and all ideas and skill sets are welcome. There is even music, sets and sound effects on the site ready for you to download and use in your film.

Members of the public can vote for their favourite films, so make sure you share your film with friends and family to get your fan club behind you. They'll even be in with the chance to win a prize themselves, with a state-of-the-art Flip Camcorder being given away to a voter everyday.

The film that receives the highest number of public votes will be awarded with the ‛People's Award', scooping a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Hollywood. With four more awards up for grabs the top 100 films, as voted for by the public, will be put to the independent panel of judges and shortlisted to 12 using four individual categories; best film, best costume design, best actor/actress and best use of sound.

The winners will be unveiled in December and presented with a unique ‛Golden Hoop' Film Award. They will then be flown off, along with three family members, for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the home of film making, Hollywood.

So it's time to get out the clapperboard, let your imagination run wild and shout ‛Action' as the contest for the hottest film in ‛Hulawood' begins.
