How To Cook For Food Allergies by Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne

This cook book is by Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, a professionaly trained chef who created Genius Gluten Free Bread, so is therefore fully qualified to write about cooking for food allergies.
As someone who needs to cook now and again for a child on a gluten and dairy free diet, any help is greatly appreciated for new ideas! The book has full explanations at the beginning about living with food allergies and how to substitute foods when cooking. You then enter the recipe section which covers all sorts of meals, desserts, baking and even baby food. Each recipe has a colour coded flag to tell you which bit to substitute depending on which allergy you are cooking for, be it egg, soya, nuts, gluten or dairy or even several of them! Each recipe can therefore be adapted for those with or without allergies.
I tried the chewy syrup squares and the lemon and orange marmalade cake, both of which turned out very well and was enjoyed by allergy and allergy free eaters!
This book was a lot easier to understand than many allergy books, especially for multi-allergy sufferers.
